In 2006, IBM® hosted Tivoli Now!, the inaugural Tivoli® technical conference in the Australia and New Zealand region. The event contained selected highlights of the IBM Tivoli Technical User Conferences, which were held in both Europe and US, and are premier international events dedicated to the Tivoli software portfolio.

The two day conference hosted four (4) concurrent tracks delivered by local and overseas technology experts, Tivoli users and industry specialists, covering all the Tivoli distributed technologies from storage though security to systems automation.
The four tracks were:

A key session for Tivoli Now! delegates was the IT Service Management (ITSM) Keynote - ITSM Revolution, which introduced new Tivoli products and technologies to help optimise IT service management processes, based around new Tivoli CMDB and Process Managers. Tivoli's recent major technology acquisitions and the Tivoli ITSM roadmap were also presented. |

Craig Farrell
Chief Technology Officer, IBM Tivoli Software Netcool Solutions
Dr. Craig Farrell joins IBM through the recently acquired Micromuse organisation, the leading provider of real-time network assurance software. He has been the Chief Technology Officer for their set of Netcool products since August 2003. Prior to this, he served as CEO, President and Chief Technology Officer of NETWORK HARMONi (formerly NDG Software). NETWORK HARMONi evolved from NDG Software, a software utility company that Dr. Farrell helped to found. Prior to forming NDG Software, he was on the faculty of the Department of Computer Science at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, and was also an adjunct fellow at the Australian Telecommunications Research Institute (ATRI). His research interests have included computer communications, network management and operating systems. Craig currently has several patents pending and his other publications include Internet RFCs and numerous journal and conference papers. |

Bob Madey
Vice President for Strategy and Market Managent, IBM Tivoli Software
As vice president of strategy and market management for IBM Tivoli Software, Bob Madey is responsible for long term strategic planning for the entire Tivoli portfolio. He leads the integration of the IBM Tivoli strategy within companywide initiatives. Prior to this position he was vice president of development of the Tivoli performance and availability products. He has an extensive understanding of Tivoli's business service management offerings. A dedicated IBM employee since 1980, during his career he has held a number of technical and management positions in sales, services, consulting, marketing and development. |
