InsureIT is a comprehensive e-Commerce Framework for General and Life Insurance. It provides insurance companies and brokers with a fast, efficient and easy way to build web-enabled insurance products for on-line quote and buy. With InsureIT you can develop a truly interactive web presence which links seamlessly to your back-office policy administration system. InsureIT includes a sophisticated Rating Engine which is also available for separate licensing as a snap-in component for existing insurance applications.
As well as consumer and commercial customer access, InsureIT also provides secure access to brokers and agents. InsureIT's question sets are customisable to your requirement for each product. Asking the right questions in the right sequence streamlines the process and respects the customer's allocation of time and effort. Unacceptable risks can be automatically recognised and rejected. Borderline cases can be referred to your call-centre. Otherwise immediate quotations are provided, with confirmation emails and documentation. Prospects can store quotations on-line and return to them at their convenience. If assistance from the call-centre is required, your staff can access quote data to advise the customer over the phone and update status.
On decision to purchase InsureIT collects any additional policy information required. Later in the policy's life-cycle web access to renewals and endorsements is supported. Management analysis of web site activity is also provided. InsureIT is developed in LANSA's award winning development toolset and is available on IBM iSeries and Windows Server. It can be extended for real-time XML exchange, other a2a/b2b integration and Web Services using LANSA's proven LANSA Integrator toolset which supports various communication protocols including HTTP/HTTPS and WebSphere MQ Series.
LANSA is IBM Business Partner* with particular strengths on iSeries, and is a foundation member of the iSeries Tools Innovation Program. LANSA leverages IBM Software on iSeries and other platforms, for example WebSphere MQ Series and WebSphere Application Server. A particular "sweet spot" for InsureIT is insurance companies with their Policy Administration System on iSeries. InsureIT's benefits include extended reach, lower cost of new customer acquisition, automated risk assessment via customisable question sets, elimination of adverse selection via more sophisticated rating and lower processing costs via integration with the insurer's back-end Policy Administration application. InsureIT can also be used by insurance brokers to access rating from multiple insurance companies and consolidate the information for prospective customers.
