Be an IBM intern

IBM's Kickstart Internship Program will give you the skills and practical, on-the-job experience you need to take your career to the next level. Not only will you be gaining real world experience on work that is genuinely changing the way the planet lives, works and plays, you'll also be building an invaluable business network to leverage later. Most importantly, you’ll get a sence of IBM’s culture and values –and start to see the career you would like to shape. The relationships you make, and the impression you leave can help you secure a permanent position with us when you graduate.

The Kickstart Internship offers full-time employment for a 6 or 12 month duration across our business units, with successful students selected based on current university performance, aptitude and potential.

Andrew Sharp

IBM Intern 2016

“My internship experience with IBM has been one of incomparable value. It has provided exposure to a wide variety of roles, as well as education in fascinating areas that were previously unknown to me. I've been entrusted with responsibilities that stretched my abilities, and challenged me to step outside of what I know, and into what I can achieve. My mentor provided extensive guidance, on both the tasks at hand and my career aspirations. While my intern colleagues gave me encouragement and perspective of the opportunities available in the world. I can say without hesitation, that it has been a remarkable opportunity and crucial stepping stone towards further success within IBM.”
