Andrew Stevens

Andrew Stevens is the Managing Director of IBM Australia and New Zealand, having been appointed to this role in January 2011. He manages a business with annual revenues of more than $4 billion.

Mr Stevens joined IBM in 2002 as a part of IBM acquisition of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Consulting (PwCC) business. He joined Price Waterhouse in 1981 and, prior to the merger with Coopers and Lybrand in 1998, he was the ?COO of the Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Business in Asia Pacific. He oversaw the successful merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers and Lybrand consultancies in ANZ, and was promoted to the COO position of PwC Consulting in Asia Pacific in 2000, where he led the integration work across Asia Pacific as a part of the IBM acquisition.

In 2009, after leading IBM's Global Business Services in Asia Pacific, Mr Stevens was appointed Managing Partner for Growth Markets., In that role he was responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of IBM's consulting division for eight growth markets including South East Asia (ASEAN); India and South Asia (ISA); Greater China (GCG); Korea (KOR); Australia/New Zealand (A/NZ);Central and Eastern Europe (CEE); Middle East and Africa (MEA); and Latin America (LA).

Mr Stevens is a member of the Business Council of Australia, the Council of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, and the Business Advisory Council of the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales. He is a Director of the National Board of the Australian Information Industry Association and is the Chair of the Australian Government Services Leader Group. Mr Stevens serves on the Board of the Australian Chamber Orchestra as well as the Board for the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS. He is a member of the Male Champions of Change and received the Australian Human Resources Institute 2013 Diversity Champion CEO award.


Brett Murphy

Brett Murphy is the Cloud Computing Executive for IBM, Australia and New Zealand. In this role he is responsible for a senior team that support IBM sellers and our business partners to educate them on our offerings as well as find and validate Cloud Computing opportunities.

After completing a Bachelor of Business degree (double major in Marketing and Management) from the University of Technology, Brett joined IBM as a graduate in 1991 and has seen the company through a vastly changing environment.

He has held roles in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance, which have included responsibility for Australia and New Zealand as well as Asia Pacific

Alastair is the IBM Cloud Managed Services Executive for Growth Markets, and has been in the IT industry his entire career. With 13 years at IBM, he focuses on helping clients understand how to practically apply and integrate Cloud Computing solutions and roadmaps into their organisations in order to deliver business transformation and improve competitive advantage. His previous roles include managing relationships with the industry's key technology and services providers, and closing multi-billion dollar Strategic Outsourcing transactions across AP, Europe and America. Alastair holds an MBA and Bachelor of Commerce.




Neil Readshaw

Neil Readshaw is global Chief Security Architect in IBM's Cloud Managed Services business. In this role, Neil leads a worldwide team of security architects to design security and compliance solutions for IBM SmartCloud offerings.

Neil also co-leads the security workstream of the IBM Cloud Computing Reference Architecture. Neil is an IBM Master Inventor, IBM Senior Technical Staff Member and member of the IBM Academy.





Amy Anderson

Amy Anderson is the manager of the independent software vendors cloud centre of excellence for IBM, which is part of IBM's Independent software vendors (ISVs) and Developer Relations organisation. Amy and her team have a successful track record working with many of IBM's partners (including both Managed service providers (MSPs) and Independent software vendors) to help deliver valuable benefits and services - including helping them leverage the benefits of IBM's cloud offerings. She and her team created programs to help partners interact with IBM based the partner's needs for cloud computing, rather than IBM's organisational structures. In addition, her team helped launch a new cloud-friendly pricing model, new cloud enablement roadmaps for ISVs, and a business model self-assessment tool for ISVs.

Previously, Amy was the ISV program director for SMB partner recruitment programs, where she helped bring more than 150 partners to IBM's midmarket offerings. Amy has been working with midmarket customers and partners for the last 15 years. In previous roles, she was an IT Consulting Specialist, focused on database performance, systems management and business continuity for the System i platform. Amy began her IBM career in 1987 at the Santa Teresa Development Laboratory in San Jose, California, where she worked on a variety of products related to DB2 and data management. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and journalism from the University of Minnesota.


Brett Vincent

Brett is the Financial Services Industry (FSS) Director for Australia New Zealand, a position held since November 2011. He is an accomplished Business Manager with more than twenty-five years IT background that encompasses multiple facets of the Information Technology industry. In 2012, Brett was responsible for the FSS business which grew 14% and established superannuation as a new business practice.

Before his current position Brett was General Manager of IBM Global Financing (IGF), managed the IBM Software Public (PS) and Financial Sector (FSS) focusing on establishing IBM Software into major banks, insurance companies, State, Education and Health marketplaces. Responsible for all aspects of the PS software business, Brett grew the business by 112% YTY growth in 2005.

2002-2003, Brett managed the A/NZ Data Management business focusing on promoting the IBM Data Management solutions DB2, Informix, Content Management and Database management tools to the market. Brett achieved 113% of plan and a 48% YTY growth in 2002. In July 2002, Brett received the Fast Forward award as most successful Sales Manager in Asia Pacific.

For the second half of 2001, Brett was assigned to run, drive and integrate Informix into the IBM Data Management Business. Brett achieved 151% of the Informix 2nd half 2001 plan and 119% of Informix's full year target. This was the first time in four years Informix had achieved plan and fourth quarter was the largest A/NZ Informix quarter on record. Brett and the Informix sales team were awarded the Asia Pacific Hot Team 2001 award and were commended for one of the most successful business integration in IBM A/NZ history.

Before moving into the Business Unit Executive role, Brett held various management positions including Northern Region Sales Manager, Websphere and Knowledge Management Business Unit Executive. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Information Systems) from Curtin University of Technology, Perth.


Daryl Webb
General Manager, APAC

Daryl Webb is General Manager, APAC, for SoftLayer Technologies, an IBM Company. He is based in Singapore, and joined the company in November 2012. He has been based in Singapore since 2006.

Mr. Webb has been in the IT industry for over 25 years and in the hosting /ISP space for 12 years. Originally from New Zealand, he relocated to Singapore in 2006.

Previous roles include Chief Investment Officer for Caledonian Investments, CIO/CTO at Webvisions, Group IS Manager at Heinz-Wattie, and IT Manager at Auckland Healthcare Services. In addition, he co-founded Clearfield Consulting, a specialist telecommunications consultancy, and has been an IT consultant at Ernst & Young New Zealand and Baker Tilly affiliate Staples Rodway in Auckland.

Daryl holds an MSc and MBA from the University of Auckland, where he also taught strategic IS papers in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business and MBA courses.


Chris Morris

Chris Morris is an Associate Vice President with IDC's Asia/Pacific ICT Services Group. He is the lead analyst for the Cloud Services research program in Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) and a member of the IDC worldwide cloud computing research team. He is also responsible for IDC's Global Service Delivery and Business Services research in the region.

Based in Sydney, Chris leads the growth of IDC's research business by identifying and penetrating emerging markets, and bringing thought leadership content and advisory expertise to other IDC research teams as well as IDC's clients in the region. Within the group, he drives business development efforts, delivers custom research projects for clients and works closely with IDC's Consulting Group to manage and provide advice in strategic engagements.

Chris comes to IDC with 20 years of extensive IT research and 35 years of industry experience. Prior to joining IDC in 2007, Chris worked as an independent IT industry researcher and consultant for six years. Some of his key clients included the Australian Taxation Office, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) as well as vendor organizations such as Microsoft, Network Appliance and Sun Microsystems. Prior to 2002, he was Gartner's Group Vice President and Director of Research for the Asia/Pacific region with responsibilities ranging from business development to research delivery to client engagement activities. During his tenure in Gartner in 1992, Chris was the first research analyst in the Asia/Pacific region for the organization. Previously, he worked for a number of technology vendors including Fujitsu, Amdahl and Hitachi Data Systems, in a variety of technical, product marketing and management roles.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Will has more than twenty years experience in developing enterprise-wide solutions for clients throughout Europe, USA and Asia Pacific in industries as diverse as Telecommunications, Utilities, Banking, Insurance, Petrochemicals, Defence, CPG, Retail, Freight and Emergency Services.

Will is a technologist focusing on emerging technology, first-of-a-kind innovation and complex systems integration. Will's career has been distinguished by a focus on emerging technologies from artificial intelligence, through object-oriented technologies, the emergence of e-Business and the Internet, and the ongoing explosion of wireless technologies. Will has demonstrated an ability to mitigate the risks inherent with new technology to effectively deliver business benefits through innovation, diligence and communication. Kevin Mackin

Kevin has been a professional marketeer for more than 20 years with a primary background in online product marketing and product management. He spent the early days of the internet leading a software development team in Silicon Valley and went on to become eBusiness and Finance Industry Marketing Director for Compaq worldwide. Returning home to Australia in 2000 as Managing Director of WebEx in Asia Pacific, Kevin established the business to become a profitable and well recognised online business communication tool.

From 2008, Kevin leveraged his experience to build the marketing optimization service, Coremetrics, into Asia Pacific - working with many of the more advanced online marketing companies in the region. Since the acquisition of Coremetrics by IBM, Kevin has taken on a marketing role for IBM's new marketing solution suite, known as Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM), across the major growth markets around the world.

Tom Fifield

After learning about scalability in computing from particle physics experiments like ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider, Tom led the creation of the NeCTAR Research Cloud - designed for the publicly-funded research sector in Australia. Part of a $47M government project, it currently serves more than 2500 researchers directly, and is expanding to a capacity of 30,000 cores over 8 sites distributed over every major city.

Following working as a cloud architecture consultant and team lead for several years, Tom is currently harnessing his passion for large scale distributed systems by focusing on their most important part: people. As Community Manager at the OpenStack Foundation it's his job to make the users and developers of OpenStack happy.

Paul Chester

Paul Chester is the General Manager of Kalibrate. He is responsible for managing and guiding a highly skilled team to deliver world class solutions for customers across the globe. Paul understands the dynamic nature of the IT industry and is constantly focused on keeping ahead of the game.

Prior to joining Kalibrate, Paul held several sales and senior management positions in IBM's services business. He was a member of the Global Technology Services (GTS) senior leadership team and assumed responsibility for defining local business strategy and the development of go-to-market models for emerging technologies.

Prior to IBM, Paul was the National Enterprise Solutions manager at KPMG where he was responsible for Client Management and Business Development, managing a team of over 100 people to ensure the successful delivery of projects across a range of service offerings.

Paul's broad commercial and operational skills have been utilised in a variety of roles including IT implementation, process improvement, business transformation, business development and practice management. Paul has successfully combined his extensive industry knowledge, sales skills and consulting experience to deliver exceptional results to satisfy client needs throughout the world. He has run advanced sales and consulting training courses for several large organisations across A/NZ. Paul has a degree in Chemical Engineering and graduated from the Melbourne University Business School with a Masters in Business Administration.
