This track is designed for administrators and implementers either new to the Tivoli Network management product suite, or for those needing a refresher or expansion on their existing skills.
The products covered are IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, IBM Tivoli Netcool/Webtop, IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact and Netcool/Precision for IP Networks.
The condensed class aims provide a basic understanding of the IBM Tivoli Netcool products and provide practical experience in how they may be used to manage events in a network computing environment and understand key product processes. |

This track is designed towards administrators needing to design, deploy and trouble shoot both IBM 6.1 and ITCAM for RT 6.2. We will cover trouble shooting and debugging techniques, ITM Agent deployment and upgrades, and TDW 2.1 sizing calculations. It is assumed that all attendees have attended the ITM Administrators training. We will also cover the new ITCAM for RT 6.2 product, and it is designed to work together with ITM 6.1 No prior knowledge of ITCAM will be required.

This track is designed for technical consultants and administrators working with TAM and TIM. It assumes a basic working knowledge of these products, and aims to explore deep technical aspects of these products & provide best practice advice not found in administration courses. An introductory workshop will also be delivered for TCIM for compliance monitoring of audit events, including TIM, TAM and TAMOS audit events.

This track is designed towards Storage administrators needing to understand design requirements for TPC, learn the best way in which to backup large amounts of small files, advanced debugging of TSM, how to recover your TSM database and create a reporting solution which assists in managing your TSM deployment.
