David E. Reich is a Senior Software Engineer in the IBM Software Group Competitive Project Office specialising in consolidation and virtualization technology. David's previous assignment was in SOA innovation and prior to that, he spent several years working on Voice Recognition technologies and then Embedded Java. This is David's 20th year with IBM. He started in the Boca Raton, Florida lab working on operating systems technologies and has made numerous contributions to IBM's systems software products. David has BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany, has published four books and numerous articles on computer technology and holds 15 US and foreign technology patents. |

Randy Kuseske recently joined the IBM Software Group Competitive Project Office Oracle Research team. For the past 5 years, he has been a member of the Market Intelligence (MI) team, specialising in product competitive analysis on STG cross-platform initiatives, System i and Power, System x, virtualization, systems management and power management. Prior to MI, Randy worked on the IBM System i platform as the Technical Chief Engineering Manager for globalisation enablement. Prior to joining IBM, Randy worked as a consultant to IBM and also worked for Data General and Unisys on compiler development. Randy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. |

Justin Tyberg is a Senior Software Engineer with the IBM Software Group Competitive Project Office. For the past 3 years, he has conducted technical, hands-on research and analysis of software products from IBM competitors. He has also served as a demo lead for various CPO Technical Briefings, and currently leads CPO's demo development effort for IBM Middleware on System p. Justin has over six years of experience building solutions using IBM WebSphere. Before moving to Software Group, he spent 3 years as a team lead in J2EE application development for IBM's Systems and Technology Group. |
