Laura Guio
Vice President, Storage Sales
Systems & Technology Group, Growth Markets, IBM
Prior to her current position, Laura was the Worldwide Storage Software Sales Executive where she was responsible for a large percentage of the overall Tivoli revenue in 2009. Her 20 years at IBM, a significant portion of that spent in Storage engineering and services have prepared her to be a strong sales leader in this space. She maintains strong client relationships as an executive in IBM which she believes is key to providing value to our customers.
Prior to her current position she was the Director, Advanced Technology, Tivoli Software, IBM Software Group. She was responsible for WW advanced Technology across the Tivoli suite of products. Her teams span the globe and were key to core technical discussions, demos and proof of concepts that assist the sales organization in closing 500M in Tivoli revenue.
Laura lead a team of approximately 500 employees worldwide as the Director of Storage Software Development. She was responsible for the development of Tivoli's suite of storage software offerings including: Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), IBM's TotalStorage Productivity Center (TPC), PRISM ILM and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for files. She was the senior site executive of the IBM San Jose facility, from 2004 - until June of 2007 which housed 1,500 IBMers.
Her first executive position in IBM was as the Director of Storage Software Solutions and Interoperability, IBM Systems and Technology Group, where she managed IBM's Independent Software Vendor relationships and service, support structure and implementation of IBM's storage software solutions.
In 1989, Ms. Guio joined IBM in San Jose, California. She has held a number of programming and management positions focused on customer support, development and operational infrastructure throughout her IBM career.
Ms. Guio is a recognized leader in the San Jose community. In 2004, Ms. Guio received the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry Award. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. She has held leadership positions in Bay Area Science and Innovation Consortium (BASIC), Silicon Valley CIO forum and PBWC. From 2000 to 2004, she was the Chairperson for IBM Silicon Valley's EXploring Interest in Technology and Engineering (EXITE) Camp, and led the team that extended the program's model to other organizations in the Bay Area. Ms. Guio also participates in National Engineer's Week.
Ms. Guio graduated from San Jose State University in 1986.

Ser Yean Tan is the Software Client Technical Professionals Leader for Business Analytics in Asia Pacific.
With more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry, Ser Yean has been involved with an extensive range of solutions within the field of business analytics and information management.
In his current capacity, Ser Yean constantly interacts with companies across all industries and company sizes to develop business analytics solutions to manage their most challenging business requirements. Ser Yean currently leads a team of more than a hundred business analytics client technical professionals across Asia Pacific who actively engages with customers to help unlock the business value of their information for competitive advantage.
