Our commitment to New Zealand

Building a Smarter Planet

Jennifer MoxonIBM has been a leader in corporate responsibility for nearly 100 years, contributing technology, talent and donations to nonprofit organisations and educational institutions around the world. As a global company, our activities are designed to help people to become smarter, and to develop future leaders capable of improving the quality of life for themselves and their communities - making for a smarter planet.

Today, the digital and physical infrastructures of the world are merging, and creating a major shift in the global economy and society. Businesses and governments around the world increasingly recognise that the time has come to make fundamental improvements to the way our world works. As businesses and corporations, we need to step up to our citizenship responsibilities, and help solve global and national issues and support important community groups.

In New Zealand, we work with our clients, business partners, community groups and not-for-profit organisations to prepare for success in the 21st century. The primary focus of our corporate citizenship is on developing initiatives to address specific societal issues, such as the environment, community economic development, health, education, literacy, language and culture.

We are proud of the deeply trusting partnerships we have formed and remain committed to bringing the latest thought leadership, technology and innovation to everyone we work with in New Zealand.
