Diversity

IBM recognizes the variety in human capital investment and ensures that its infrastructure and policies support this. The growth of IBM is hugely attributed to the uniqueness of gender, age, origin, culture, religion and race.

This year diversity celebrations will include International Women's Day, Take Our Kids to Work Day, PwD IT Camp, EX.I.T.E., Women's Leadership Conference, World Disability Day, launch of two new childcare centers, and a home care project.

Mobile Working

The flexibility offered by improved technology should be seen as a way to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our employees. At IBM, this flexibility in its broadest sense describes an environment that enables our employees to access information and perform their work anywhere, at anytime.

IBM India launched the mobility program in July 2003.

A mobile work environment allows employees the ability to enhance their effectiveness by providing tools to use at any location, be it a customer office, airport, IBM mobility workstations or home. The mobile employee does not have dedicated IBM Workspace at an IBM facility.

IBM will provide a fixed monthly allowance of Rs 6,000/- for designated mobile employees. The purpose of this mobility allowance is to assist in defraying expenses incurred by employees in a mobile environment.

Flexible Working Time

IBM gives you the flexibility to manage your work hours, so you can meet the needs of your personal life. Employees, in consultation with their Manager may agree on a special working hour schedule provided the same does not hinder the departments working.

  • Part Time Reduced Work Schedule
    The employee will be required to work lesser number of hours vis-a-vis other regular employees. Consequently, the salary of the employee will be adjusted to reflect the number of hours actually worked.
  • Leave of absence
    This is to provide the employee with the option of being absent from work, without salary for a period of time in order to manage a personal situation.

Healthcare

IBM offers a range of personal benefits such as medical schemes, dental schemes, health screening, wellness programs, retirement and insurance program. You may even be able to include your spouse/partner and dependants under your coverage for greater peace of mind. We try to be as flexible as possible, so you choose what is appropriate for your personal needs.

Holidays


All regular employees of IBM are eligible for 22 days of privilege leave every year.

Pension

IBM offers a very competitive pension scheme. The employee contribution rate is currently 3% of their salary. IBM will contribute at least double this. Employees can also make additional, voluntary contributions into their pension plan.

Travel

Travel will largely depend on the role and business you work in as to whether there will be the opportunity to travel.
A number of graduate roles particularly in Sales and IBM Business Consulting Services require graduates to be geographically flexible as there is often extensive travel required.
