What are the work experience criteria for Graduates?
0-18 months of work experience qualifies a candidate to apply to ISL for the available graduate / fresher postings.
What are the minimum educational requirements at ISL?
The minimum educational requirement is a graduate degree in Engineering/Technology or higher.
What is the minimum aggregate of marks required to be maintained till completion of graduation to gain employment at ISL?
The offer to gain employment at ISL is valid only if an aggregate of 70% is maintained till completion of graduation. This is a must and holds good for any new joinee.
What happens at a first round of selection?
You can normally expect to have a written test followed by a short interview.
When will I find out if I have been successful?
We aim to let all candidates know if they have passed or failed a test at the end of the day.

Is there a training provided by ISL for Graduates?
There will be an initial training period of 4 weeks (Entry Level Training Program) wherein you will be trained on certain specific skills/ technologies. After the training, you will be deployed across various projects across various ISL locations.
Is there a bond on joining ISL?
No, there is no bond in joining ISL.
What work will I be doing?
The allocation of skills/ projects / location will be based on your skill, your interest and the business requirement.
Can I choose to work only in certain areas (VLSI design, Compliers design, Development project etc?)
Majority of the time, you will choose the project to work on based on your area of interest. Other times, you and your manager will discuss and choose the project to work on. However, there will be a few times when business requirements will take priority over everything.
Does ISL provide any initial help in settling down in a new city?
ISL provides a relocation allowance that is a flat allowance for initial settlement at a joining location. People joining from same city will not be eligible for the allowance. It is a taxable component. Current allowance is INR 25,000/- (this allowance is subject to change).
When do I get a chance to go abroad?
ISL is primarily into technology development. During the course of your work, you may have an opportunity to travel if the business requires it.
