Storage Systems

What We Do

We focus on the development and porting of the General Parallel File System (GPFS), Network File System (NVS v4), Storage Management and Maintenance Support of SAN File System (SANFS). We are also integrated with the Library administration services to support the IBM Systems & Technology Group's development environment. We are well integrated with other labs in the world for delivering the new product releases or maintenance releases in these focus areas.

Why would someone want to come and work in the area?

If you like to work in an Enterprise File System and enjoy working in kernel space, you will find working at our Storage System area at ISL to be a very stimulating and challenging. Alternately, if solving challenges in Storage Management is your passion, this lab will provide enough opportunities to showcase your creative skills. Some of the projects in File system and Storage Management are jointly worked upon with IBM research group.
