A poster competition for the intern researchers at IBM Research – India was organized recently. The poster competition, which started in 2008, is aimed to showcase the intern research projects and give interns an opportunity to get a broader spectrum of research activities at IBM. Amongst a total of 29 papers posters, three were adjudged the winners:
- SXShredder : Efficient Tuple Generation from Streaming XML by Abhinav Anand
- "Diversity" in "Similarity"! Oxymoronish?? Not Really! by Rakesh P
- IWMI: Indian Workforce Management Initiative by Mahesh Gattani
Congratulations to Abhinav, Rakesh and Mahesh!! Each of them win an iPOD Nano and a citation.
The competition was tough and the quality of the posters was very good. Following are the other posters that received special mentioning by our judges:
