1. Free downloads: Please note that all free downloads can be made only and only by Faculty. The faculty needs to get registered following the below mentioned steps to be able to do it.

2. Resources: You can use Java Based Technologies for writing the software - Ex: Java, J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JSF) , AJAX etc

Check resources page for links to downloading software, courseware, tutorials, Redbooks etc.

3. IBM Free Software

  WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Studio Application Developer (US)
  DB2 Express - 'C'
  Open Source Software Eclipse 3.2

4. eMentors: Please reach IBM's specialists and get guidance, project help and help your queries resolved on the basis of their specialization and your need. You can choose them and reach to them by clicking onto eMentors.

IBM Middleware: Comprises of the following

    DB2 Universal Database 8.2
    WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Studio Application Developer
    Rational Application Developer, Rational Rose, Rational Software Architect
    Lotus Portal, Workplace Forms
    Tivoli Storage Manager Express, Tivoli Continuous Data Protection for Files

Preferred Platform: Linux

Applications that are built should be platform independent. All the applications that are built by students will be made Open Source and made available to the public free of cost.
