We’re back, again with The Great mind Challenge, 2012.
Thank you for all the support in TGMC 2011 and it is with great pleasure, we announce the launch of The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) 2012.
TGMC is an innovative program aimed at encouraging students from engineering colleges from across India in their endeavor to develop solutions for real-time problems and scenarios using IBM & Open Source Software. It is India’s largest student technology contest, two years running in the Limca Book of Records!
What's in it for students?
- Improvise their software writing skills.
- Get an opportunity for future employment.
- Become market-ready with the skills and expertise they develop through TGMC which is In-Demand.
Participation in the contest gives students the excitement of working on real-life solutions, with FREE IBM software’s to choose from and work with. Students also have the opportunity to seek for any technical help while working on their project by us.

TGMC 2011 Update
TGMC 2011 Felicitation Ceremony was held in Bangalore on 25th July, 2012. Attended by finalists of the Top 15 teams and other eminent dignitaries from the industry made this session a good interaction platform for all and an opportunity for industry to see and meet the great minds.
A industry panel discussion attended by Infosys's AVP, Head - BFSI, Mr S Soundararajan, Wipro Infotech’s CTO: Mr T Krishnamurthy Padmanabhan, ING’s Head – IT Change Delivery: Mr Aniruddha Paul, IEG’s CEO: Mr Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, Polaris ESL's MD, Mr Mohit Oberoi, HealthSprint's MD & Co-Founder, Mr Rammohan were present to discuss and deliberate on the topic - 'Bridging the Industry - Academia gap - Need of the hour".
The TGMC 2011 winners are team Technomovers from Tirumala Engineering College from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
The 1st Runners up is team PERFECT9 from International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneshwar, Orrisa.
The 2nd Runners up is team QuadCore from Academy of Technology, West Bengal.
The other categories which were felicitated were Top 15 Awards, Mentor Awards, All-Girls team & Top Performing College.

TGMC 2010 Update
TGMC 2010 Champions announced.
The final winner from amongst the Top 20 teams was revealed at the Felicitation ceremony which happened on November 15th, 2011 at Delhi.
From more than 1,50,000 participants in TGMC 2010, we saw some great projects submitted by the teams and after a detailed look by our experts, few teams were lucky to enter the TGMC Hall of Fame, their name etched in the history of TGMC. Gracing the occasion was Mr.Shankar Annaswamy, Regional General Manager, IBM India Pvt. Ltd who also gave away the prizes to all the winners of TGMC in the various categories and also felicitated the Champions of the season 2010.
Winners - Team KMIT CHARGERS from KESHAV MEMORIAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Team Members - MOHANA KRISHNA CHATURVEDULA & ANUMULA KALYAN VENKATESH along with the mentor of the team DEEPA GANU.
1st Runner up - Team SCRIPTOCODERS from MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Team Members - VENKATESH, VARADHAN, SURESH & SATISH with the mentor of the team RAJESH G.
2nd Runner up - Team KP 'S EAGLE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS from KL UNIVERSITY Team Members - PRASANTH KUMAR V, P.D.K PAVAN & KARTHICK with the mentor of the team KASULA VANKATA DURGA KIRAN
The other categories which was recognized were- Top 30 Colleges of TGMC, Top 10 State Awards, All-Girls Teams and Drona Awards (for faculty mentors of Top 20 teams)

TGMC promotes students from engineering colleges from across India in their endeavor to develop solutions for real-time problems and scenarios using IBM open source software. It is aimed to encourage students who aspire to make key contributions to develop applications on cutting-edge IBM technologies while providing them with an opportunity to improve their software-writing skills.
Launched in 2004, TGMC is an innovative program that addresses the need to better educate millions of students for a more competitive information technology (IT) workforce by partnering with colleges and universities. Every year, the growth and reach of TGMC has increased, seeing a marked increase in the number of students who are keen to participate in such an endeavor.
