Hi there,
The most memorable moment with Australian Open 2008 was standing courtside at 4.34am when Lleyton Hewitt beat Marcos Baghdatis, followed by interviewing some of the players one-on-one including Novak Djokovic and Maria Kirilenko.
I'm proud to have created a totally new web design for Australian Open 2008. The features that allow our family of Australian Open fans from around the world to contribute - such as AO Acer and Your Photos - were a resounding success. It was awesome making the fans part of the site and getting their experience.
I'm most proud of the massive increase in interest to the tournament website -almost a 50% increase in unique visitors to over 7 million. It was a whole team effort, and a huge thanks to Charlotte James, Tristan Foenander, Antonio Vong, Daniela Toleski, Kim Trengove, Darren Saligari; From IBM - Steve Griswold, Sarah Cole, David Balcolm, Gary Reiss, Steve Hammer, Jeff Amsterdam, Chetan Bagga, John Kent and Steve Slager; Our cadets Adele Holland, Dave Higgs, Bronwyn, Carla, James, Matt and Tom; Chris, Bren, Amy, Luke, Brandon, Clarkie, Rob and Andrew and all the Sportal team; Warwick, Peter, Don, Selina and all the Australian Open Radio team.
I'm looking forward to working with the fantastic team once again on a bigger and better website in 2009.
Signing off,
Nick

Hey guys,
During the tournament I divide most of my time between the media workroom and the website office - A.K.A 'the hive'. Click on the video below for the grand tour.

Any closer and I'd get hit by a tennis ball

From our temporary tournament office, we can hear the grunts and shoe-squeaks of the world's top players as they prepare for the start of the tournament on the main court of Rod Laver arena. And it's our job to bring that atmosphere to the millions of web viewers who will be clicking on our site. But first, I've got to organize our newly-expanded team of web publishers and cadet journalists. Click on the video and I'll give you a run-down on what we have planned for Australian Open radio.

In the changeroom

Hey,
In the video below it looks like I'm reporting from a change room, and I am! I'm speaking to you from a place that'll be transformed into one of the Australian Open radio production areas. It's still very messy with cables and the like everywhere, but once it's set up you won't recognise it!
