In order to begin using Vodafone's 3G broadband network, you'll need to connect to a Data Bundle, which will provide you with monthly Data access. Upon receiving your notebook, simply contact the Vodafone Activation Centre. A representative will then review the different Data Bundles with you to help you decide which bundle best suits your data usage requirements. They'll connect you, and you'll be ready to work on the move. Information for each country's contact numbers are located in the file on your system's desktop, under the Vodafone icon.
For large enterprise accounts, contact your Lenovo sales representative for additional information.

3G broadband and Wi-Fi hot spot services use different wireless technologies. The Wi-Fi hotspot service is based on 802.11 Wireless LAN technology. With 802.11, users must be within several hundred feet of a public hotspot in order to make a connection. Unlike WiFi hotspots, 3G broadband from Vodafone (based on 3G/HSDPA network standards) provides a more mobile and secure experience across whole cities.

3G/HSDPA technology provides authentication, data protection and compatibility with most corporate Virtual Private Networks. Check with your IT department regarding intranet access requirements.
