Are my notebook peripherals or Software application covered?
No. Coverage excludes software, spare batteries, and optional peripherals as well as complimentary accessories provided in the standard package.

Are second hand notebook covered?
No. Second hand notebook will not be entitled to this service.

Do I need to register or is this service activated automatically?
Yes. You will need to register in order to activate the service. The coverage begins on the day you purchase the machine (as stated in your invoice or delivery note). If you register within 30 days from date of purchase (as stated In your invoice or delivery note), you can upgrade the protection coverage to theft and lost for the first year.

Can I lodge a claim if my notebook is damaged overseas?
Yes. However, you shall bring back the notebook to Lenovo•ThinkPad Service Centre as service is only available in Hong Kong SAR.

Can someone else lodge a claim on my behalf?
Yes. You may authorize someone else to lodge it on your behalf. However, you will need to furnish us an authorization letter stating so.

How I lodge a claim?
For the claim of Damage, you shall bring your notebook to Lenovo•ThinkPad Service Centre with all necessary supporting documents (like proof of purchase). For the claim of stolen by theft, you shall file a police report, take a colour photo as proof of the forcible entry, and bring all documentary evidence with respect to the stolen by theft to Service Centre for claim.

How long will the claim process take?
Depending on the complexity of the claim, the process may vary between 1-14 days. We will contact you either in writing or by phone once your claim has been processed.

For the claim of stolen by theft, what happens if the model of my notebook is no longer available or not in stock?
Lenovo will replace a similar or functionally equivalent notebook to you.
