In response to the latest advertorial taken out by the Government Service Insurance System in several publications recently, IBM would like to share with our clients and partners our offiicial statement:
In keeping with our policy for constructive engagement, we will limit our response by citing IBM’s DB2 as the software of choice by the world’s top 25 banks. With their requirements being far bigger than GSIS’, they continue to trust in our DB2 and in IBM moving forward.
Furthermore, we decline to make any additional comment on this issue, despite the baseless allegations in that advertorial, since the issue is already in a court of law, and it is there where we intend to fully protect our rights and interests, and where we are confident we will be vindicated.
We would also like to wish the GSIS the best in its decision to fully migrate to a non-IBM system by Dec. 10 this year.
