The Business Times Leadership Seminar Series –
Business Innovation and Technology in collaboration with IBM
On 3 August 2007 at Grand Hyatt Hotel
Over the last two years at the IBM Forum, we have highlighted the emergence and value of innovation and the swift adoption rate by top companies. This year, we aim to share on how to make innovation a reality through collaboration and integration.
Whether you are managing a company, a line of business or leading the technology division, innovation is about implementing practical methods through which you can garner the most business value from your strategic initiatives – growing revenues, improving customer service and managing a complex supply chain. Making your business more responsive to changes in the global marketplace.
The IBM Global CEO Study 2006 confirmed that innovation can be ignited by collaboration within and across enterprises, by the integration of business and technology as well as by an inspired approach to organizational culture.
In a recent essay in Foreign Affairs magazine, Sam J. Palmisano, IBM’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, lays out IBM’s vision for the Globally Integrated Enterprise (GIE) – the emerging business model beyond traditional MNCs. How ready are you in terms of integrating processes beyond borders, leveraging specialized partners and innovating collaboratively?
This year, the IBM Forum continues by collaborating with The Business Times (BT) as part of the inaugural BT Leadership Seminar Series – a thought-leadership series targeting C-level executives looking to transform their business for superior growth.
We are pleased to present our key speaker, Dr Marianne Broadbent who is the Managing Director for Edward W Kelley & Partners (EWKP), an emerging and innovative force globally in executive search. She leads EWKP’s global CIO Centre of Excellence and co-leads the further development of EWKP’s Innovative Leadership Insights practice . She has been a coach to numerous CEOs and CIOs throughout her career. She is also an author of two successful books published by Harvard Business School Press and formerly the Senior Vice President for Gartner Research worldwide.
Innovation and business regeneration is now a requirement to remain competitive. However identifying the new business model is usually not the biggest challenge – rather it is implementing the change, executing on business model innovation. Dr Broadbent will discuss how effective organizations use good business governance, people capabilities and relationships to accelerate change.
So join us on 3 August to find out how to turn innovation into an everyday reality.
