2006. IBM Singapore emerged victorious as the biggest winner at Computerworld Singapore Readers' Choice Awards 2006 with wins in 8 categories, an increase of two wins from last year's tally of 6 wins.
2006. IBM Singapore won outstanding achievement and innovation for the Occupational Safety and Health Best Practices (OSHBP) Award in the Ergonomic Solutions category. The OSHBP Award is an annual award presented by the Ministry of Manpower to give national recognition to companies that make exemplary efforts to control workplace safety and health hazards.
2006. IBM Singapore was acknowledged for its support to the Chua Chu Kang community. This is in recognition of IBM's donation of the IBM Web Adaptation Tool and KidSmart to enable senior citizens and children in Chua Chu Kang to experience IT.
2006. IBM Singapore has been awarded the Community Chest Corporate Bronze Award in September. This is in recognition of IBM's efforts in supporting the annual President Challenge. Funds were raised through outright employee donations, a charity bazaar organized by IBM Club and other very creative avenues.
2006. IBM Singapore won double Gold at the Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H Award as both IBM Singapore Pte Ltd & IBM International Holdings received Gold Award for Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health.
2006. IBM Singapore was presented with the Work-Life Excellence Award by the Minister for Manpower. This Award was formerly known as the Singapore Family Friendly Employer Award which IBM Singapore won twice previously.
2006. IBM Singapore was a Sports Advocate (Certificate of Commendation) winner at the Sporting Singapore Inspiration Awards (SSIA) for exemplary promotion of Sport in Singapore.

2005. IBM Singapore was awarded one of the Top Ten Best Employers in Singapore awards by Hewitt Associates, a global management consulting and outsourcing firm specializing in strategic workforce solutions. This is IBM's third consecutive placement in the rankings.
2005. IBM Singapore was awarded the Merit prize in the e-Society Excellence Awards for the IBM KidSmart Early Learning Programme. The programme was rolled out to 30 non-profit making organizations serving disadvantaged children across Singapore, providing hundreds of children with fun, interactive learning and access to new technology.
KidSmart provides an opportunity for disadvantaged children to have a strong early start in education, particularly in the areas of reading, mathematics and language. The Award serves to honour organizations that have been proactive in helping Singaporeans embrace info communications and transforming our society into an e-inclusive one.

2001. IBM Singapore joined in the EDB's Opening Storage Networking Local Industry Upgrading Programme (LIUP). Through the programme, the company is working closely with the Data Storage Institute and other players in the industry to develop a leading-edge industry training course to build skills required for the industry's future opportunities.

1998. IBM Technical Service Centre -The IBM TSC aims to bring some of the capabilities of IBM's laboratories worldwide by providing an infrastructure and ready local technical community to plug into.
1997. IBM doubles its production capability with the opening of a second tower in its hard disk facility.
1996. IBM's Systems Storage Division sets up an Asia Pacific Logistics Centre, making Singapore the regional distribution hub for hard disk drives
1995. An IBM Personal Computer manufacturing facility is set up to service regional markets
1994. The first disk-drive manufacturing facility, producing 3.5-inch hard disk drives that feature IBM's magneto-resistive (MR) head technology, is set up. It is the first facility of its kind in Southeast Asia.
