These expansion cards enable up to 4 high speed bays in BladeCenter H.

Offers PCI-Gen 2 architecture and end-to-end 10Gb I/O virtualisation via BladeCenter Open Fabric Manager in addition to easy SoL/cKVM management over 10Gb.

These cards are compatible with following IBM blade servers: HS20, HS21, HS21 XM, LS20, LS21, LS41, JS20, JS21 and HS22.

Ethernet Expansion Card (CIOv) for IBM BladeCenter

This is a 2 port 1Gb Ethernet adapter with PCI-e interface designed specifically for the HS22 blade server as well as all follow-on blades. It is based on the proven Broadcom 5709S ASIC and offers value-added features like TCP Offload (TOE) and SW iSCSI support for high performance. The adapter's innovative combination form factor design allows usage of other I/O technologies (in CFFh form factor) simultaneously from the same blade server, such as additional Ethernet or Fibre Channel adapters.

Enables up to 4 High Speed bays in BladeCenter H. Offers end to end 10Gb IO Virtualisation using BladeCenter Open Fabric Manager.

Based on QLogic 2432M PCI-Express x4 ASIC for 4 Gb 2-Port Fibre Channel and Broadcom 5715S PCI-Express x4 ASIC for 1 Gb 2-Port Ethernet chipsets. This card provides 2 4Gb Fibre Channel ports and 2 1Gb Ethernet ports on the same card.

iSCSI expansion cards Product features

QLogic iSCSI Expansion Card for IBM BladeCenter

Based on QLogic QMC4052 enabling iSCSI connectivity through switch module bays 3 and 4, the hardware initiator provides iSCSI communication from the blade server to an iSCSI storage device for full hardware-based iSCSI initiator and TOE for storage traffic only (TCP/IP offload engine) function with an option to run diskless Blades in a non-Fibre Channel SAN environment.
