An Indigenous Employment Strategy is a key component of IBM’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. We are committed to increasing the representation of people from indigenous backgrounds in the workplace through the facilitation of an inclusive workplace that values the skills and cultures of indigenous people. We acknowledge the level of disadvantage traditionally faced by indigenous people compared to non-indigenous people and as such aspire to assisting "Closing the Gap” to improve the economic and social lives of Indigenous Australians. Through creation of alternate pathways, partnering with indigenous stakeholders, implementing specific initiatives and enhancing the skills of IBM managers in managing Indigenous employees; we are committed to achieving our objectives.
